I began building websites in the late 1990s, during the early days of Web 1.0. What started as hobby projects on platforms like Angelfire, creating sites about topics such as The Legend of Zelda, has evolved into a professional journey. Today, I assist both enterprise and startup clients with their web development needs across multiple platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the day, I serve as the Technical Delivery Director at Astute Communications<\/a>, where I help enterprise digital marketing clients achieve their website goals. In the evenings, I run my own agency, Petrin Development Services<\/a>, assisting startups and solopreneurs in building their brands and expanding their digital presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organizer and participant the broader WordPress community<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I proudly serve as the primary organizer of Marlborough WordPress<\/a>, a local meetup group dedicated to supporting our community. In addition to organizing, I have attended and spoken<\/a> at various other WordPress meetup groups and larger WordCamp events. I am committed to contributing to the growth and success of the WordPress community, both locally and internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former educator in Social Studies and Special Education<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Throughout most of the 2010s, while continuing to serve my web clients, I achieved a personal goal by working as a classroom educator. I taught Social Studies and Special Education to grades 6-12 in central Massachusetts. Although I am no longer a full-time educator, I remain on the lookout for teaching opportunities that fit my busy schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skilled coach in both athletic and intellectual capabilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

While working as a full-time educator, I also served as a three-sport coach, leading boys soccer, girls basketball, and softball teams. Though I’ve (mostly) hung up my whistle, I now provide professional consulting and website training services, both internally to colleagues and externally to current and prospective clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
